About the Job
Wellington International is seeking an experienced Painter to join the Facilities Maintenance Department. This position reports directly to the Director of Facilities Maintenance.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Performs other related painting and facilities maintenance duties as assigned.
  • Painter may work in a variety of environments, including interior and exterior areas.
  • Performs all jobs requiring painting at the facility.
  • Preparing surfaces: sanding, filling cracks, removing old paint, and washing walls.
  • Mixing paints: Matching colors and textures to meet the project’s requirements. staining.
  • Applying paint: Applying paint, varnishes, and other finishes to walls, ceilings, furniture, and other surfaces.
  • Cleaning up: Cleaning up painting tools and supplies.
  • Following safety rules: Adhering to workplace safety rules and regulations.

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Ability to work Tuesday- Sunday during peak season (December thru April). Reliable and dependable.
  • Self-Motivation/Time Management: able to determine and prioritize tasks with minimal direction.
  • Detail Oriented: Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well.
  • Strong communication: able to communicate effectively.
  • Collaboration: able to work with various departments and personnel as necessary.

Education and Experience:
  • High School diploma required.
  • 3+ years of experience commercial painting.

Physical Requirements:
  • Considerable physical activity.
  • Must be capable of climbing and working from ladders up to 30-35 feet.
  • Requires heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects up to 50 pounds at times.
